Taking Christian Movies on the Road

Early tomorrow morning I’m traveling to Asheville, North Carolina, for the 2009 Gideon Media Arts Conference & Film Festival. Designed to offer both practical instruction and encouragement for anyone working in media, the conference is a week-long retreat chock full of workshops, film screenings and meetings.

Some of the topics covered in workshops are: graphic novels, picture books, acting, stand up comedy, filmmaking, and several others. Industry veterans Nancy Stafford, Andre van Heerden, Jon Erwin, and authors Ray Blackston, Dave & Neta Jackson are just a few of the faculty scheduled to present workshops during the week.

Registration is still open, so if you can clear the space on your schedule, join us in North Carolina. I’ll be blogging from the conference, interviewing lots of people, and maybe even tweeting during the week. Don’t miss this great opportunity to interact with some of the best creative minds in Christian media.

Dear Angela: Thank you so much for your wonderful interviews. I am a correspondent for a Disney Podcast, and am trying to arrange an interview with Ms. Jodi Benson. I was wondering if you would be able to share the contact information for the person with whom you arranged the interview with Ms. Benson. Thank you so much,
