New in Town is Faith-Friendly
“New in Town,” Renee Zellweger and Harry Connick, Jr.’s, new film coming out January 30th, is both a faith-friendly and family-friendly film. All of us who are constantly bemoaning Hollywood’s lack of appreciation for our values should support this film as a way of saying “thank you!”
At a recent press conference, screenwriter and story originator Kenneth Rance told the room that he is a Christian, and wanted the film to reflect the friendly, Christian-based community of New Ulm, Minnesota. A little while later, actress Siobhan Fallon Hogan (whose Minnesota accent is hysterically accurate) also mentioned her Catholic faith, saying she was grateful to have the opportunity to say the name of Jesus three times in a film.
As always, read reviews before going (we’ll post one the day the film comes out) so you know what to expect.

Wow! I wanted to see it, because I’m from Minnesota, but now I really want to see it.
Thanks for the info.
