New Christian Thriller “The List” Premieres in North Carolina
New from author Robert Whitlow and director Gary Wheeler the thriller The List has been playing in churches and theaters on the East Coast. Filmed in North Carolina, where both Whitlow and Wheeler live, it is a fresh entry into the “Christian thriller” category, joining the likes of The Visitation, Thr3e, and Hangman’s Curse.
I got to see the film twice while I was in Atlanta a few weeks ago, and both times I marveled at the beauty of some of the scenes, especially those that take place on a lake. The story is well-written, with just a couple of little holes in it, but then again, I saw “The Bourne Ultimatum” yesterday, and there were a couple of places that felt like bumps in the road.
Julia Camenisch, of Eye Reach Productions, saw The List yesterday evening and wrote a review in her blog called Idea Central. As a filmmaker herself, she has some great notes about the production and the story.
If you’re on the East Coast, especially in North Carolina - find a location that’s showing the film and go see it, then share your thoughts here. We’ll continue to hope that it opens up in more theaters across the country, and if not, we’ll have the DVD as soon as it comes out.

I have looked for this movie in my area. Greensboro, NC Can’t find it.

Hi Kris -
The The List website has a tab for theaters. Right now, Charlotte, Concord, Hickory, and Wilmington are listed as NC locations. Hopefully one of those is near you and playing there. I know the filmmakers are planning to open more theaters. Check back on that website periodically, and as they let us know about theaters, we’ll continue to post that.

Loved the book. Where else is this movie playing? Is it going to be on DVD?

The film is going to be on DVD probably after the beginning of the new year. It is coming to more theaters & more states, but I don’t know how many have been scheduled. I’d keep checking the The List website for information.
