How to Get a Lamborghini in a Christian Film

Well, if you don’t own one, it might be pretty difficult. So filmmaker Ryan Dunlap (Daros Films) created a blog called Things I Learned in Monochrome while filming his new movie Greyscale, and it’s full of helpful hints for filmmakers. Just a few I saw at first glance were:

  • Burn your film critic’s hat before yelling “Action!”
  • Don’t rewrite on set
  • Know what you want (from a great Stephen Spielberg quote)
  • Don’t read your own press during production (Unless, of course, it’s on ChristianCinema.com!)
  • Remember, things can always get worse.

Ryan is in post-production on the film, but you can see a trailer at the Daros Films website. When you watch the trailer, you’ll probably recognize a few faces. I saw Tim Russ (Tuvok from Star Trek:Voyager), Brian Shoop (Treasure Blind, Find Me), Anthony Tyler Quinn (Smuggler’s Ransom) and Doug Bauer (Find Me). It looks like an interesting film, and looks like Ryan learned a lot that he’s willing to share. Thanks Ryan!

I’m afraid I didn’t see the “Don’t read your own press during production (Unless, of course, it’s on ChristianCinema.com!)” on Ryan’s website.

What page was that found on?

It’s on the second page of the blog. It’s a little hard to find because the icon to go to the second page is teeny-tiny – it’s in the corner of the bottom right-hand corner. Here’s a link to the second page: http://tlimono.com/page/2

Oh, I know about the first part. But I didn’t see the “(Unless, of course, it’s on ChristianCinema.com!)”

Joseph, I’m sure most people who read the blurb above will know the part in () was added tongue-in-cheek by the writer, especially since the blurb was posted on Christiancinema.com.
