Have a Story to Tell?

Do you have a story you’re dying to tell? A great idea that’s just screaming “Movie! Movie!”? The dilemma for aspiring screenwriters is often finding the right channel into the business. Good news!

Trost Moving Pictures, in association with HOSFU LC, has released the official entry form for the Raw Talent Screenplay Contest. The Raw Talent Screenplay Contest seeks one Grand Prize winner with a 90-100 page script that is either a Comedy, Romantic Comedy, Suspense or Drama. This contest is free to enter.

The Raw Talent Screenplay Contest is sponsored by Trost Moving Pictures, a film production company based in Tulsa, OK. Trost Moving Pictures (TMP) produced award-winning thriller Find Me in 2009. TMP is currently in production on the feature length Christmas movie A Christmas Snow, starring Catherine Mary Stewart (The Last Starfighter), Muse Watson (Prison Break, Navy NCIS) and newcomer Cameron ten Napel, and featuring Anthony Tyler Quinn (No Greater Love, Boy Meets World).

The Raw Talent Screenplay Contest is co-sponsored by HOSFU LLC, an Albuquerque-based company dedicated to providing consulting, publicity and networking platforms for Christians in media around the world.

All potential entrants are invited to visit the contest’s website for more information and to enter. There is a Frequently Asked Questions page on the website that addresses common questions about the contest. This page will be added to as new questions are presented.

The $10,000 Grand Prize will be awarded at the 2010 Gideon Media Arts Conference & Film Festival Banquet on June 7, 2010.

I don’t know if the contest is still open, but I want to go into the christian film industry. It already seems like alot of the best christian films are made. I love the moment after 1&2,the left behind series, end of the harvest, the evangelism trilogy, the appointment, second glance, fireproof, the perfect stranger & another perfect stranger, many more. Cloud ten pictures, christiano films,& christian cinema has done a great job of producing quality & faith based films. It’s nice to watch films that are clean & don’t have to have all that language & sexual content. This generation takes after what they see on t.v. specially are children. Go cinema!

    Shay,

The deadline has passed for this contest, but there are plenty of others to enter. Keep writing, because just when you think all the great stories have been told, new ones appear. Ask God for His creativity and you can’t go wrong!
