Gener8xion Entertainment Expanding
Yesterday Matt Crouch of Gener8xion Entertainment (makers of One Night with the King, The Omega Code, China Cry) released a statement about a new film they recently acquired. Opening in theaters December 7th, Noelle is the the story of a young pastor sent to close down a dying church in a Cape Cod fishing village. Pursued by a vision of a young girl who is simply trying to communicate the message “All is forgiven,” the man trying to escape his past is finally forced to confront it.
“Noelle says to us ‘All is forgiven’ in a way never before shown on film.
It’s unique for Gener8xion Entertainment because it’s the first film they’ve acquired post-production. They re-edited it for theatrical release and are putting it into about 200 theaters next weekend. That’s a big gamble because theatrical release is not an inexpensive thing. There must be something about the film, the story, the characters to make them take this on.
The trailer shows a film with potential, but it’s easy to make great trailers. I’m banking on the fact that Matt receives countless requests for distribution each year, yet he’s never selected one until now. That tells me there’s something special to be seen.
According to Matt, ‘“Noëlle” is the most faith-filled, yet non-churchy, non-“Christian-ese” film we’ve ever seen. Not only is “Noëlle” quirky and fun, but it says to us “All is forgiven” in a way never before shown on film.’ Check the 8x.com website for theater information. If it’s playing near you, go see it and let us know what you think captured Matt’s attention.

8x has put out some good films. I’m hoping this will be another one.

Great movie if you like seeing Catholic priests presented as total losers, sacraments mocked, nuns belittled and the Blessed Virgin Mary treated with disrespect. Sure, it’s supposed to be a “feel-good” movie about redemption and forgiveness, but why did this guy decide to give Catholics a sock in the eye as his vehicle?
