Future of Filmmaking: RED!
Here’s a cool video from Joseph Q. Simpkins (Living Water Films) that shows their team opening the new RED Digital camera. Now they can begin filming the feature they’reĀ working on.
It’s like Christmas without the snow.
What new equipment are other filmmakers using that will revolutionize independent films?

Some may ask “What is the Red One Digital Camera”. Very simply it is a digital camera that captures all the raw data (uncompressed) in 4k resolution (Near IMAX resolution). Cinema’s such as Carmike projects 2k resolution from their Christie projector’s. The Red Camera It has a full super 35mm sensor and uses 35mm glass. More resolution than film while still using the same lenses and film size so it has the romantic look of film. Check out what industry professionals are saying about this camera: http://www.red.com/

It’s truly amazing the technology that is available to independent filmmakers at such a low cost– I’ve heard good things about this red camera. Look forward to seeing what kind of cameras come next.
