The scariest thing...and in a way, more hopeful as it fulfills prophecy ...is that what the HAARP experimenters are toying with up in Alaska could actually burn huge areas of atmosphere away over areas of the earth....and that could be a deliberate use as a weapon...but what would result is whole areas of the planet being torched. It is how different parts of the Bible describe the end will be, Malachi 4:1,2; Revelation 16:8,9 and more describe what the boys with their toys in Alaska may bring about ...even if they also get toasted in the process. My question would be however, is Mr. Pearson familiar with the HAARP experiments and this angle or was he simply putting words to film. Thanks and God bless.

Mr. Lang. As you can see from the verbal and violently graphic content of this movie, this was no attempt at disguising theistic propaganda. In the end there will be no Rapture. The Bible never once uses the word rapture. But what will happen, is that all those Non-Believers who believe in the Now (as you so aptly put it) will face eternity. I could go on if you wish to dispute me.

In answer to Sa_rocky, Non-believers tend to believe in Now rather than in some mythical "Rapture" as represented in in this thinly disguised peace of theistic propaganda. It was by no means "fair and balanced". Only those that hear the "whispers" of the angels shall rise to live again. Balanced? I think not.

Isn't it great when films open up conversations and provide starting points for good discussion?

I agree - it was very balanced in its presentation of themes.

I, being a divorced Catholic, mother of three, enjoyed this movie thoroughly. My first interpretation of this movie (discussing it with my children) was that it was left to the viewer's discretion as to whether the whisperers were angels or aliens. Personally, I took them as angels because I did see the effort of the cinematography to "sort of" create wings on them at the end.

Given the fact that there are liberals and conservatives in a "modern day" family, I appreciated the fact that the "professor" (Nichoas Cage) was neutral in his explanation of th creation of the solar system; being Catholic, I loved the way he explained his "opinion". It opened up communication between myself and my 3 children in preparation of college one day.

This is one of the best movies I have seen in a long time where I thought people could be "fair and balanced".

Hi, My name is Shem Chenoo and I'm from Mauritius. I just came across that movie and just after watching it, I quickly opened my notebook and search for Mr Ryne on the net. I wanted to have a look at his biography, especially if he was christian. (For me I don't see christianity as a religion but as my life-my way of living, my everyday life to say). I checked it out because authors who based their history on the bible interest me, for e.g the chronicles of narnia.

So from one point, Mr Ryne says "I didn’t intend to write this as a religious movie" which i may agree taking note of the way the scenes have been created. Nevertheless Mr Ryne has pictured out somes scenes which is very closely related to the Bible. There is a lot of examples from the movie demonstrating these. But I will take one and in that same way, I will asked Mr Ryne one question:

At the end of the movie, what does this white tree mean????
