Break into Movies - Be an Extra
One of the most fun and fascinating things I’ve ever done was be an extra for Mercy Streets. (I’m in the church scene as part of the choir, and you can see me just over John’s [or is it Jeremiah’s?] right shoulder) It was my introduction to the world of filmmaking, and I was hooked!
You might be “discovered!”
This weekend, the directors of “The Perfect Game” are inviting 1000 people to join them in San Bernardino, CA, to be extras at a Little League World Series game. Jump back in time to 1957 and watch a team from Monterey, Mexico, defy incredible odds and win the only “perfect game” in the history of the Series. Based on a true story, this heartwarming film stars Clifton Collins, Jr., Louis Gossett, Jr., Cheech Marin and Bruce McGill.
You’ll get to watch a movie crew in action, see some great actors up close and personal - and even get some autographs. And if that weren’t enough, they’re giving away prizes! You’ll be eligible to win a color TV, CDs, DVDs, or other prizes. Go to their website and make reservations for yourself, your family, and as many friends as you can gather. (All participants must be 7 years of age or older) It’s way more fun than having a garage sale or cleaning the house.
You never know what might happen - you might be “discovered.”
And for anyone else who’s filming and needs people for a crowd scene, let me know and we’ll post it here and in the Movie News section of ChristianCinema.com.

Angela,
You are more than welcome to be an extra in our “Song Man” movie next month if you want to!
In Yeshua (Jesus),
Dan
