1st Kingsbury Novel in Production

Karen Kingsbury fans, rejoice! This weekend, filming begins on a movie based on one of Karen’s novels. Fans of the New York Times best-selling author have long been begging for one of her “Life-Changing Fiction” novels to be turned into a film. Several of her books have been optioned, but “Like Dandelion Dust” is the first to go into production. (Karen, the director and producers are seen at left)

Synopsis: Wendy gave up her son Joey for adoption at birth, but didn’t tell his father Rip . When Rip finds out about Joey, he wants his son back.Jack and Molly raised Joey from birth. They are the only parents he knows. When the court rules that Joey must be returned to his natural parents, Jack and Molly’s idyllic family life is shattered. Are forever family ties created by love stronger than blood ties?

According to the Downes Brothers’ website, “A Thousand Tomorrows,” also by Kingsbury, is in development with their production company. This could be the start of something terrific.
