10 Commandments Opening Weekend
This weekend, the new 10 Commandments animated movie from Promenade Pictures opens on 700 screens across the country. This is the first of 12 epic stories that Promenade plans to produce in animation over the next few years. They are already in production on Noah’s Ark: The New Beginning and in script development for David and Goliath.
Attending opening weekend of a movie is like casting a vote in a presidential primary.
RayFowler.org has excerpts from an interview CBN did with producer Cindy Bond. You can also read the full interview here on CBN’s site. To find out where the film is playing near you, click here. Remember that in the movie industry, opening weekend is like living in Iowa during primary season. It’s your chance to vote on whether a film stays in the theater another week.
Studio and theater executives look at opening weekend numbers, and based on that information, decide if the film gets to stay in theaters, if it will expand, or if it will close out. The amazing number of people attending Facing the Giants is what kept that film in theaters and kept it growing at the end of last year. So - get out there and VOTE!
Six customers from ChristianCinema.com are the recipients of prize packages from the 10 Commandments movie. They are:
Wanda from San Diego, CA
Steve from Des Moines, IA
Aaron from Gresham, OR
Jeannette from Oklahoma City, OK
Karen from Miami, FL
Michael from Peoria, AZ
Each of these will receive a 10 Commandments bookmark, movie poster, T-shirt, and free ticket to see the film. Congratulations!

I wasn’t too impressed with the trailer. But I will probably see it when it comes out on DVD.
